Blog 1 , Day 1 20-7-2011
On the first day of group work we spent time with our groups to come up with a spectacular group name. We had a limit of 10 minutes. We struggled at first but luckily we came to a conclusion when Emmanuel came up with a very creative name that had great meaning behind it. The word was: "B.R.E.A.K which" meant B=BEING R=RESPECTFUL E=ENCOURAGING A=AND K=KIND. Fortuantly, our group won the best and creative name which earned us fifty points. It was represented with two small green marbles and one blue. The small green marbles represented twenty points and the blue represented ten points. We were then asked to do our first blog on this wikispaces website.Moving along, when this was completed we had time on our hands to fix and visually design our page. Emmanuel being the clever student who worked well around graphical technology manufactured our front attractive cover. Our names were also established next to our main title to symbolise the members of our group. It was time to get more work done, this included three different types of ad's following a second blog that discussed which example/video was more effective.
Blog 2, Day 2, 22-7-11 Above are three examples of differing types of ads. These inlcude: an example of a narrative ad, video essay ad and a documentary ad. After watching closely and listening to these three ads I strongly believe there is only one ad which is most effective. The ad my group and I think is most effective is the video essay. The reasons to why this is found to be most effective is due to its sound, music, words, images and lay out. Even though the music is quite awkward it attracted our attention. Also, the title Advertisements Information or Minipulation built great thought and deep thinking. The images played after each other all showed an idea of the title along with short sentences that provided short information. Not only was it an ordinary ad, but it certainly portrayed what the world and community shows us and what they really mean.
Blog 3, Day 3, 23-7-11 After finding a variety of different fiming techniques online we chose the most effective ad that makes a severe impact on our thoughts and what could influence us on our own play. Today we analysed our past blog and comprehensively discussed whether we are on the right track and if we all agree. This minused all misunderstandings and kept us all thinking equally on the correct and postive path. We are now ready to begin our future blogs explaining our process, how we are going, our ideas and opinions.
Blog 4, Day 4, 26-7-11 Today we are planning the main part of this assignment. However, we must choose roles that will suit each member of our group and their characters. We have gone into deep thought about who should play what role, their responsibilite and most importantly the theme. We must create a interesting unique title and make sure our ad reflects upon it. However, we surely know what film technique we are most influenced by. The type of ad we have chosen is a video essay ad. Unfortuantly we are still pushing ourselves to thinking what charecteristics, features and important aspects we are goingt to use to form our own example.
Blog 5, Day 5, 29-7-11
We have came to a conclusion with the particular scene we would like to re act. The scene we have chose is when Shylock wants his pound of flesh from Antonio instead of two times Bassanio's money. We discussed the characters in the scene and have came to an agreement that Otto will play the role as Antonio, Chantelle as Bassanio, Emmanuel as Shylock and Marilyn as Balthazar. There is a clear understanding on our roles and what me must do to complete the act correctly. We are ready to record!
Blog 6, Day 6, 4-8-11
We finished recording our scene which was changed to a more modern era. We completed it to the best of our ability and passed through it better then we expected. We filmed small parts, this helped get through the recording process easier. Even though there were random struggles and uncontrolabe mistakes, we still managed to finish. Also, we discovered a solution which was cropping any minor mistakes out of your videos and fit them together.

Our videos were put together by emmanuel and edited using many helpful strategies and techniques that will make an effective impact on our scene. Music, sounds and tension was included along with the editing to portray it as something much more interesting to watch. Unfortuantly, it was completed but accidently and unexpectadly it removed itself of one of our members computers which delayed time. However, it was worked on for the second time and successfully back to the way it should be, but even better.

As we were browsing our wikispaces page, we decided to scan our blogs, mind map and videos making sure all mistakes and inoccorrect notes were fixed to sound a higher standard quality. We all have been discussing whether we are happy with our progress and began to compromise whether there are any areas of our assignment we will like to change. Everything was up to date which made us pretty proud with our work.

The last blog! we are a little nervous about this assessment knowing it was something unique and challenging to keep up with. This english assessment was time consuming and we all believe that it is an activity to challenge your time organisation and whether you can be capable of keeping up to date aswell as processing 3 blogs each week explaining your process, experiences and opinions. We all understood on the same level on equally sharing the work and who could specialise in each area. Emmanuel was our great actor aswell as video editor, Chantelle assissting with great ideas and opinions along with a part of the blogs, Lj as a dramatic actor and Marilyn which is i who put most of the blogs together.
