The Unknown Merchants Blog 1 20-7-2011 Today in our year 10 English class, we have learnt how to open our own Wiki, also are learning how to editt our Wiki page to allow othergroups to see our creativity. In our group we have Ahmad, David, Amanda and Moses. We are going to make a short film trailer of our own act of "The Merchant Of Venice". We are thinking of doing act 1, will be acting this scene at Moses' front court yard because it has the perfect amout of space and the desine of it is a good fit to the scene we are going to act. Bloge 2 26-7-2011 Last lession on the 22nd of july in our english class we learnt about the 3 main filming options these consist of video essay,a video essay is a film of images with sound that are related to the issue. The narative is another main filming technique that tells a story, it also dosnt necessarily need tobe a true story. The final filming technique is documentary, it is like an interview that you extract information from. Miss pitman also gave us many film tips to see how we ae going to do our video, also our teacher taught us about the to main roles, the A roll and B roll that help set the action.

We have got many information in the mind map to allow us to decide whatwill our video look like how will it be done and also gives us that thought on questions of the audience watchingthis video. This video will be similar to the movie "Merchants of Venice" but with different characters such asAhmad, David, Amanda and my self. While Amanda was doing the mind map me and Ahmad were looking atdifferent sort of movie types such as Documentary, Video essay and Narrative videos so that we wil get anunderstanding on how pur short video will look like. Blog 4 2-8-11 Today we have been deciding how we are going to play our sences, we have thaught of instead of the chests Portia will be choosing the best skilled football player because that is what her father in his will after his deathThe characters we all will be actingare, Ahmad will be takin Bosanios place in the play,David will be acting as Moroco the black footballplayer and Moses will be acting as Aragon the player that is up himself dosnt care about naything elss. We have also been editing our miind map to allow us to getr more ideass on how we are going to creat and play this video. Blog 5 7-8-11 Today at school Moses talked to the group on doing the act at his house, So everyone came to Moses' house and we were finding a place to be able to act ourplay. We picked a place in Moses' unit, there is a big grass area that is good for us to play footbal andact it out. Chantelle and Otto where there just helping us out with taking the video and also Otto we inthe game playing with us football so that it can be even with me and ahmad vsing David and Otto. Blog 6 8-8-11 Today we were trying to finish off what w e did on the 7th by playing the game of football, after a normal game we playing number of games but every game was based on one player so that we are able to show the skill or weeknesses in eachother so that Portia (Amanda) can pick to be the most best skilledfull player. First we started with Bosanio(Ahmad) the skilled one that goes though Otto and David like they are so easy. Then it was Morrocos(David) turn, the dark coloured lazy player that dosnt bother to get the ball and that he dosnt run that fast to be able to try and dosnt have much stength to run and knock us down. We didnt have enough time to play Aragons(Moses) turn so we thought will doit the next day. Blog 7 9-8-11 Today we did Moses' part when he tackles Otto and Moroco(David) really hard because he is the strongest out of all of them and that he can take as much hits as anyone. Otto is just a player that aloowe us to be able to have a 2 on 2 game and because he is very tall allows me to look really strong when i tackle him. When we finished the game we are thinking of getting Portia (Amanda) to pick one of us to the prom and we are acting out her part by her saying "This guy or this one". Blog 8 10-8-11 Today we are doing Portias (amanda) part on how she is talking to a friend and she dosn't know which player is the best untill she looks on how they play, she didn't like Moroco because she isnt a white person and that he is very lazy, she also did not like Aragon because as strong as he can behe is very self sentered, so she oventually picks Bosanio becasue he has he looks has the money and finally is the best player on the team, so amanda is doing what her father said on she can only goto prom and go out with the best player. Blog 9 11-7-11 Today we finally put our video together and Moses' was the editor of it so that we can get the right place on the right time. We didnt now what music to put so that so we are still finding out which is a propriete. Portia (amanda) finally pick Bosanio(ahmad) to be her date to the prom, her father would of been proud of her on what she has done. Aragon & Morroco didnt get the chance to have a wife in the first or second life.
