lesson 1: to kick start our assignment, the group read the assessment task scaffold and criteria for ideas on the assessment. after we found out what the assignment requirements, we began to initiate ideas to complete it. after school when we read over the assessment task again, we decided to research different scenes that will fit our criteria. overall the group felt confident with acting out the scene of bassanio's choosing his casket. now what we have to figure out is who is going to play what part and our setting.
Lesson 2: in todays lesson we are researching different videos to give us ideas. to begin with we went on youtube and searched film making. from film making alone we learned how to add effects. this means that we can cut and edit our films to create an enjoyable trailer atmosphere. we also searched storyboards and concepts relating to film making. in our spear time emre and joseph researched script writing while we researched ideas for our mind map. we learned that all team effort is needed to succeed and create a great trailer. finally we put all our ideas onto a mind map.
lesson 3: during this lesson mina and james created our mind-maps. in our mind map we thought of putting different categories so we each manage one part of it. the categories that we choose were costume, characters, duties, language, time of play. with this it allowed each person to not rest while other people were completing something. over the next days in our own time we will use those things to write and film out script.
lesson 4: during this lesson we are going to figure out who is doing what. when we came to final decision we thought that since we did not have a girl for portias part one of us boys will act it out.
Mina= portia
James+joseph=narrator
emre=bassanio
after everyone agreed to this we decide to write the script to suit everyone comfort.
lesson 5: today was the day were we write the script. we have already decided our positions and what scene we are doing. to start of with we would have to modernize the language so that the youngest of audiences could understand. words like "twis we change to it was" and words like "my complection we cahnge to my color". after the language we modernized the setting of the film. instead of having portia living in a castle we changed it to a crib and instead of using caskets we used ring boxes with diamonds inside of it. after setting out the language and the setting of the film we basically could just visualize what scene we were dealing with.
lesson 6: to edit the script before acting is very important because we saw in a clip which said that editing is the most important part of creation. when we were editing our work we thought that filming in a big space area was good because it would give the audience the effect they are looking of like in a crib. we also thought that we would just film ourselves in casual cloths but them edit each other by putting custom wigs and so on. when it was nearly time to film we allocated each person their roles to editing the film.
lesson 7: today we just recoreded the film
it was great . one person was away but we managed
lesson 8:the person that was away just then done his part so their was no worried. James: because editing was my part i decided to make everything look like a real movie trailer. but what i found out was that i only had one video to work from. all the other recording that we done were either deleted or never got sent. after working with the one video i managed to create a decent film that portrayed our aim. son now i hope we created a great trailer......the end
