Since today was our first lesson of being able to plan our trailer, we disscused the matters of the charaters roles and who will play them.
We have chosen to do the scenes of 'the choosing of the box to marry Portia'.
Natali will play the role of Jessica.
Samantha will play the of Portia.
Budwie will play the role of the three.
On friday, we recorded a few scenes that would fit in with our trailer and we have also made plans to record more scenes and finalise the trailer.

Today, we as a group changed the main part of our trailer. Instead of the three boxes we are going to use the cutting of the pound of flesh.
We all agreed to record the cutting of the pound of flesh because there were other groups that had already chosen to do the box scene.
Along with that, we have recorded more scenes and we will soon be editing our trailer.

In english we got some assistance from our classmates to help us record the scene when Shylock enters through the gate and
Natali walked down the stairs with assistance from Grace to make the scene look more realistic.
Our classmates recorded us, whilst Samantha was preparing her newspaper dress for which she would be wearing on our double tomorrow.
After Natali finished recording, she helped Samantha prepare for the double tomorrow by making sure the newspaper dress looked
modern and stayed altogether.

In todays double english lesson Natali, Samantha and Budwie recorded the scene from act 1 scene 2.
For this scene Samantha got dressed up in newspapers which made up for the dress that Portia also wore in that scene.
We made the dress out of newspapers and put it altogether with staples and stickytape in yesterdays lesson. It took about 5 minutes
to rehears the words that Portia had said in that scene and we also had to record it a few times before we had shot the perfect scene.
Samantha found it quite difficult to move in the newspaper dress which meant that she had to be extra careful incase it ripped, because
it took Natali and Samantha quite a long time to put together. Thankfully the dress stayed together for the scene.

Today, Samantha who played Portia and Natali who played Nerissa, recorded the scene where Portia was confused
to who she wanted to marry or if she would refuse to marry a man at all. Whilst Budwie recorded them, they played pretty well and Samantha worked extremly hard
to show the right kind of emotion for that particular scene. This scene lasted for about 12 seconds and it took a few minutes for it to be perfected. After this scene was
recorded we all sat down and discussed what scene we should do for our next english class.

In todays lesson, we decided to record the scene where Shylock pulls out the sword on Antonio. In this scene,
Shylock is played by Budwie and we also got some assistance from Hayden to play the role of Antonio. Natali recorded this scene, as Samantha was away that day.
This scene was recorded near the silver seats, on the grass area. It did not take long at all for Budwie to memorise the words to that scene.
It did not last very long. It was about 5-8 seconds long.

As today was our last lesson to finish off recording our final/last scenes, we did not get to finish another two scenes. Fortunatly, Budwie successfully
recorded the scenes at home. The scenes were the spiting on the face and also the final scene was the door closing on Shylock. Both these scenes together
took less than 30 seconds to record. It did not take Budwie very long at all to memorise his bit. This took the stress out of all of us.

After school today, Budwie and Samantha went to Natali's house to finalise our trailer. We started by putting all of our scenes in the correct order and calculating
exactly how long the whole trailer is. Once we were all satisfied with what we had we started to edit our videos on movie-maker. We edited the trailer by adding
different types of music, special effects and much more. We all applied ourselfs in this group assignment, which also means that nobody cruised through this assignment and did nothing at all. Overal, we were able to get everything finished on time and enjoyed eachothers company.
